Pay Ranges: $24.00-$27.00

Pay Minimum

USD $24.00/Hr.

Pay Maximum

USD $27.00/Hr.

Responsibilities

Levels of care at this facility include: Medical Detox, Inpatient/Residential Rehab, Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Program, Outpatient Rehab, Medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and Aftercare Planning 

Here is what you’ll do as a Certified Recreational Therapist: 

  • Work with Community providers to bring in evening support groups and participate in community activities with patients.
  • Use previous experience to mentor, monitor and motivate clients
  • Engage with patients post facility discharge to enroll in peer support program
  • Promote wellness and recovery
  • Establish relationship with clients as peer
  • Establish treatment plans with measurable goals to promote a wellness-oriented lifestyle
  • Assist in coaching practical living skills and personal care
  • Document in accordance with program requirements
  • Ensure clients are being communicated within a timely manner – in accordance with recovery plan.
  • Provide program information to prospective clients and families as needed
  • Conduct telephone conversations in a friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain clear communications with supervisors and co-workers
  • Participate in staff meetings as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a treatment setting, and/or Substance Abuse / Recovery agency. Prior experience as a Peer Support Specialist preferred.
  • Must Hold an active Peer Support state certification in practicing state(s) - Missouri
  • Effective communication, fluent in recovery/mental health, fluent in technology/general computer skills
